We currently have one clinic location conveniently located off of Interstate-15 at Hill Field Road in Layton, Utah; 3225 W. Gordon Ave. in the growing residential neighborhoods of west Layton.

Davis Family Physicians is a full-service family clinic - from infants to seniors.  Our medical staff is comprised of Board Certified Family Practice Physicians, Family Nurse Practictioners, Physician Assistants, and Behavioral Science.

Our History:

The physicians of Davis Family Physicians, P.C. have owned and operated their clinics for over 60 years.  Thousands of people who live in Davis and Weber Counties, Utah have benefited from the medical care rendered through caring Davis Family medical providers.  The clinic enjoys close affiliations with many medical professionals and specialists and hospitals throughout all of the communities of northern Utah.  Since 2009, our clinic has been recognized as a health information technology leader as we have consistently achieved the annual HealthInsight Quality Award.

Davis Family Physicians specializes in Family Practice medical service.  Other medical experience and interests include: Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, Geriatrics, Urgent Care, Diabetes Management and the treatment of chronic health risk factors.

Our clinic was originally founded by Dr Ralph C. Peterson in 1950.  Back then it was known as The Clearfield Clinic and it was located at 360 East Center Street, in Clearfield, Utah.  In 1957, Dr Joe Amano joined Dr Peterson, and in 1963 they were joined by Dr Bruce Neville.  In 1977, the clinic relocated to Robins Drive (1700 West) in Layton, Utah, adjacent to the current Davis Hospital & Medical Center.

Subsequent to Dr Amano’s death in 1983 and Dr Peterson retiring in 1984, Dr Bruce Neville was joined by Dr Craig Julien and Dr James Rees.  In 1987, Dr Roark Neville joined the practice.  The Clearfield Clinic changed its name in 1994 to Davis Family Physicians.

Dr Bruce Neville retired and Dr J. Allen Francis joined the medical staff in 2000.  That same year, nurse practitioner D. Carl Christensen joined the clinic to assist the physicians in providing quality medical care to the community.  Lane O. Heder joined the clinic in 2006, as a physician assistant.  Thomas Fairbanks, PhD. has located his office with Davis Family and assists with behavioral and emotional health counseling.  Dr. Rohn C. Rigby joined the clinic in 2008 following Dr. Julien's retirement from Davis Family Physicians.  Traci L. Peterson, nurse practitioner, joined Davis Family Physicians in August of 2011.

August of 2005, Davis Family Physicians opened a second location at 3225 West Gordon Ave., Layton, Utah, and relocated the entire clinc in May 2011.  This neighborhood is one of the fastest-growing areas in Utah and the western states.  The current location houses Family Practice, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Health and Dental services.  An additional building will be built at this location in 2012 to bring additional professionals to the area.

Davis Family Physicians currently has seven medical providers and a support staff of 30 indivduals who are dedicated to helping you stay healthy.  We operate our own CLIA certified laboratory and digital imaging services to meet the medical needs of our patients.  Our proactive approach to the future helps us identify ways that we can best meet the needs of our patients with technological advances while maintaining the compassion and caring attitude and legacy of our founders.
